EOLO lodge sits on a 10,000-acre estancia in the Patagonian steppe between the town of El Calafate and the immense Perito Moreno glacier. From every room, the views across the steppe, The Andes Mountains, Torres del Paine, and Lake Argentino are spectacular.
What we love about Eolo Lodge
- The 17-room Relais & Châteaux lodge has been inspired by ancient Patagonian ranches
- Its close location to Perito Moreno Glacier enables a head start over other visitors coming from El Calafate
- The central patio is sheltered from the wind, allowing guests to comfortably enjoy the outdoors
- Chef Juan Pablo Bonaveri puts together a daily menu that shows off local produce using creative, international techniques
- EOLO lodge is nearby to the Andes mountain range and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field
- The lodge is 45 minutes from Los Glaciares National Park, the largest national park in Argentina
- There’s a library, indoor swimming pool, wine cellar and tasting room, outdoor jacuzzi and sauna
- They offer exclusive activities within EOLO’s estancia such as trekking, horse riding, biking, zip lining, 4×4 tours, and bird watching
- Its simple design lets the panoramic views be the focal point of each room
A stay at EOLO Lodge gives you a true sense of freedom.

The rest of your days at EOLO are for discovering the wonders of Los Glaciares National Park. Visit the magnificent Perito Moreno glacier, where you can trek with crampons across the ice or kayak near to the glacier’s front wall. Punta Bandera is another area of the National Park that has an abundance of stunning landscapes. Cruise across Lake Argentino towards Upsala Glacier, navigating past icebergs. Hike through Fossils Canyon, where you’ll see sea fossils uncovered by glacial action, or towards the hanging glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro.
At the end of the day, return to the comfort and peace of the lodge. Recharge with a massage or by simply putting your legs up and admiring the views with a glass of Argentine wine.

When
to Travel
Every season offers a different Patagonian experience.
During October and November, the trees and bushes of the Andean steppe and forest bloom and the birds return to begin building their nests. In summer (December – February), the wind is intense but the days are longer and warmer. During autumn (March and April), the forest that covers the mountains turns red. Autumn days are shorter but the wind is milder, the skies are blue and the nights are full of stars.
EOLO lodge closes between May and September.
